It’s not necessarily that capitalism has failed, but chrony capitalism has failed. the problem is republicans have pushed our fiscal policies so far to the right for the past four decades that we keep deregulating the markets into a death spiral every time they get elected, and they’ve stripped all the safety nets to help those hurt worst and their billionaire and millionaire donors walk away richer each time..
