How the GOP will win the war on rising prices, and what it means for the future of the country

One year into the Biden administration, virtually every single economic indicator has performed well, far exceeding the most optimistic projections. Joe Biden’s first year in office was defined by the highest GDP growth since 1984; 6.6 million new jobs were created in his first 12 months, which is the highest by any president on record; and the unemployment rate is currently below 4 percent, which is a feat only achieved a few times in prior decades. Even corporate America has continued to see record profits and new stock market highs. This is the fastest economic recovery from a recession by many notable measures, yet Republicans are fixated on only one aspect: inflation.

Even though Republicans blame Democrats ad nauseam for inflation, they have absolutely no solutions to offer to fix the problem, and even if they did, they are unwilling to actually help make things better. They outright refuse to work on any possible economic bipartisan plan to alleviate the high costs that might potentially burden middle class families because a “win” for our country would reflect positively on Biden.
