the current president or congress member representing your district might not make a difference for you (though I would find it hard to believe), but at least for millions of Americans, this does matter and you might not like AOC or Pelosi, but they are fighting for a lot of people they swore to represent, and if Americans do not remain engaged in political discourse, they might see the progress they've fought decades for slip away..
