The Sheer Hypocrisy of Republicans Referring to Democrats as Sheep
When was the last time you saw a Biden 2020 flag mounted to the bed of a pickup truck?
We’ve all heard Republican voters and internet trolls refer to anyone left-of-center as “sheep.” But how can that be? Isn’t it the Republican base who blindly follow one man, gathering en masse at cult-like rallies, wearing his name embroidered on every stitch of their clothing, ready to break into harmonized chants like “Lock Her Up” or “Build the Wall”?
Let’s not forget that the far-right QAnon movement’s slogan is quite literally “Where we go one, we go all” — isn’t this exactly what sheep do?
Their new favorite political catchphrase, Let’s Go Brandon, dwarfs the stupidity of the previous ones by comparison, namely because they think it irks the average Democrat — it doesn’t.
Unlike the Republican voter base, there is actual disagreement and diversity of thought among Democrats: whether there should be more investment in renewable energy, if marijuana should be legalized federally, and how high the minimum wage should be raised. Meanwhile, the GOP collectively denies climate change, mask wearing, or any science for that matter.
They will tell you that mask wearing is a personal choice, but their pro-life views aren’t. They don’t want liberals…
