this is heartbreaking. i’m only in 20s, but i have a lot of middle aged friends from work who believe masks don’t work, the election was “stolen” or Covid is a hoax. some of them are pretty smart people, too. it’s truly sad to watch close friends devolve like this. i can’t imagine what it must be like to have this happen to such an old friend.
