Harris county is the largest county in Texas, yet has only has one drop-off box.

The county is home to 4.7 million people, and spans over 1700 square miles. But there’s just one drop-off box for every person choosing to vote with a mail-in ballot.

On the other hand, Loving county has a total population of 68 people, and it has the same number of drop-off boxes as Harris county: one. Who do you think this favors? In the 2020 election, Donald Trump won 91% of the vote in Loving, while Biden won 56% of the vote in Harris.

Sounds fair, right?

There are a total of 254 counties in Texas. Joe Biden won the popular vote in 22 of them, and Trump won the rest. Of the ten most populated counties, Biden won eight. These same ten counties represent half of the state’s total population — meaning there are ten drop-off boxes for half of the state, and 244 for the other half.

During the 2020 election cycle, Texas Governor Greg Abbott reduced the number of drop-off boxes for mail-in ballots to just one per county. His defense? To minimize voter fraud and preserve election integrity. The only problem is there is no evidence linking mail-in ballots to…
